As you can see by the first picture, this 1948 Willys Pickup was used on my grandpa's farm as a work truck in Newaygo, MI. That's me standing in the back of the truck probably early 1970's. It was drivin to my families Indiana house in the early 1980's and shortly there after the restoration began. Aside from a few setbacks, finding parts and the paint shop catching on fire and burning down with the Jeep inside, 3 years later it was complete. Not quite in time for my Senior Prom though, as I drove it to the prom bedless. Here are some stats: the engine is an overhead 4 cylinder, has 63 hp and has a top speed of not much more than that. The tranmission is a 3 speed on the steering column and the bed can carry a ton + 1/2. Grandpa and dad used to travel to the rock quary, load up the bed with boulders and drive it right down into the river and dump the load.
